Description

More info

Depending on your ability, Blanchets will likely be a run you love or loath. After a short dogleg right at the top, there are two gentle pitches which you pretty much need to straight-line to have any hope of getting across the massive, long flat section which comes next. If you’re not confident enough to ride this section at speed, you’ll end up having to walk across the plateau until the gradient starts to steepen again (near the bottom of the freestyle park). Don’t worry – you won’t be alone. On any given day, there are always people walking across the flat section. Blanchets then continues onwards, crossing over the Col de Forcle poma with a slight camber to the right before joining the Leitchoums piste down to Bellecôte. In truth, this is a pretty unspectacular run – unless there’s been fresh snow in which case the wide open bowl offers numerous easy off-piste excursions without having to stray far from the main pistes.
