Description

More info

The wide open nature of the Bellecôte / Belle Plagne bowl means it’s quite difficult to differentiate between the beginning and end of pistes as most seem to naturally flow into one another. The Belle Plagne piste is no exception and it’s quite likely you’ll ride part (or all) of this run without even realising. Belle Plagne officially branches off the Blanchets piste, near the top of the boardercross and lower freestyle parks near the crossing point under the Blanchets chair. Just after this, there’s a semi-steep section which you’ll want to straight-line to avoid schussing or unclipping. Watch your back here as it’s not uncommon for riders to appear out of nowhere from behind – often at speeds greater than their abilities. From there, the official piste curves round the left side of Belle Plagne village – though other routes are possible by cutting through the gaps between buildings or traversing over to the Roche de Mio gondola base then heading left. As you leave the main village, there’s another short steepish section (again, it’s advisable to hold your speed – and also be aware who’s behind you) before the long glide down to the Bellecôte hub of lifts.
