Description

More info

The Roche de Mio gondola is one of the oldest lifts in La Plagne and, considering its importance as an arterial lift, really is in dire need of renovation. Though many consider Roche de Mio as the entire lift out of Bellecôte, RdM is actually the second section, covering the section between Belle Plagne and the RdM summit itself. Gondola cabins are cramped and only carry 6, while the lift itself is slow and noisy. Plans are afoot to replace the gondola – originally planned for season 2019/20 but, at time of writing, nothing has been fully confirmed. From the top, riders can take the third stage (but unlinked) gondola, Bellecôte, over to the glacier sector or alternatively ride the Mio (black), Levasset (blue), Sources (red), Tunnel (blue) or Inversens (red).
