More info
The Esselet red piste is a highly enjoyable run through the trees which branches off the Pierres Blanches blue piste. The turnoff is quite easy to miss but, once you’re on this run, you’re on it to the end as there are no other intersections before it eventually joins the Route des Bauches at the bottom. As it’s quite isolated, this run never gets busy and is a joy to ride in bad weather or after fresh snow. Actually, the only bad point with this piste comes when it joins the very flat Route des Bauches. As it’s another of La Plagne’s ‘Natur’ runs (unpisted), expect bumps – particularly later in the season.
