Description

More info

The Bauches blue piste is located just below the Crozats chair in the Montchavin sector of La Plagne (note the lift company classifies Montchavin as stretching from the front of the mountain round into the valley below Roche de Mio). The piste is a fairly uninspiring track which snakes its way down a much steeper gradient. In times of fresh snow, the off-piste here can be great taking a more direct route down the hill. However, in truth, the main reason for the Bauches chair (and hence this run) is really to provide quicker access back from the multiple off-piste routes down from the Bellecôte glacier and Roche de Mio. The chair saves riders from having to take the very flat, long Route des Bauches piste back to near the Vanoise Express cable car.
