Description

More info

The Grangette is an extending rope lift climbing out of Montalbert village which climbs around one third of the way up Le Fornelet. It tends to be used by race-training classes more than anyone else due to its slightly steep trajectory – plus the fact it also gives quick access to the Stade de Slalom rather than having to take the Montalbert gondola to the top and ride all the way back down. The lift crosses a bridge mid-way up which, combined with the decreased stability of a rope lift, can put many less experienced riders off. Avoid this lift if it’s icy – the gondola is a much easier option.
