Verdons Nord is probably the slowest lift in La Plagne – or, at least, it’s certainly the one most in need of renovation considering the distance it covers. In mid-winter, this lift can get seriously cold as it’s frequently in shade so is normally best avoided in bad weather. On the front side of the mountain, it accesses the blue Verdons and black Mercédès pistes while, over the back, it also links into the Champagny sector runs Kamikaze (red), Bosses (black), Hara-Kiri (red) and Bozelet (blue) including Mont de la Guerre (red). As all these runs are accessible from Verdons Sud anyway, our advice would be to maximise your riding time and take the Funiplagne to Gd Rochette then link down to the Verdons Sud on the multitude of runs that flow down to its base – a better option than sitting on this long, cold lift which is also prone to stopping.
