The very short Les Mines red piste really is more of a link piste than anything else – either for people returning back to 1800 or for those wanting to link over to Aime 2000 bypassing the usual routes through Centre and instead taking the 1800 chair up to Aime. The run shares the same start section with Loup Garou which passes first over the main road then under another road bridge before opening out at a semi-steep pitch above 1800. Going right puts you onto the Loup Garou blue whereas staying vaguely left will drop you at the top of the short Les Mines piste. The run is enjoyable but you certainly wouldn’t find yourself lapping it – due in part to the slow speed of the Mélèzes chair back up plus the walk along the flat at the top. The run has two semi-steep pitches before terminating at the base of the chair. Riders linking to other areas should go straight on here, past the Praconduit green and short drag lift to link onto the 1800 chair up to Aime.
