More info
La Plagne’s Aime 2000 satellite must be one of the only ski resorts in the world where you start the day riding down to the lifts – and one of the main ways out of the station is on the Golf blue which leaves right from the back door. This gentle piste is served by a rather slow chair of the same name and offers fantastic views over the Tarentaise valley towards Mont Blanc. For beginner/intermediate riders, it proves a real treat as they get a taste of high mountain riding – without the steepness normally associated with top-of-resort runs in many other ski areas. Although there is only one run marked on the piste map, in truth, Golf is actually a wide open area which stretches from the main Aime building over to the Dromedaire lift. From the perspective of a novice, it’s a perfect place to learn and improve skills.
